Happy Anniversary
103 Years of Serving Harrison County
February 4, 2022
Our Mission
Promoting a Vibrant Business Climate and Community by Fostering Business Growth with Active and Engaged Members
Prior to the Chamber's formation on February 4, 1919, the Clarksburg Board of Trade existed for a brief time. There is nothing in the old records to indicate why or how the Board of Trade became the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber office was located on the 9th floor of the Union Bank Building. Their tag line was "The Fuel City of the Fuel State".
The Chamber office location has changed several times over the past 103 years:
Union Bank Building
First floor of the Bell Atlantic (Frontier) Building
Galleria Mini-Mall
First floor of the Palace Furniture Building
The Chamber purchased its current office 520 W Main Street Clarksburg, November 2006.
The passion and commitment the Board of Directors, Executive Board, and Chamber personnel feel toward our business community and the residents of Harrison County remains as steadfast and strong as it did 103 years ago.
